When I got on the plane (Ethiopian Airlines) that was the best flight I ever took! We ate so much and the food was good on the plane beautiful flight attentance and pilot. Proud to see people of color having their own! I met the gentleman I was to he is a handsome people there and beautiful as well! I was treated like a queen the food was surprising spicy but I could find my native style of food so it was good. Their clothes are modern and nice you could also buy their native style. Alot of security I like that. People looked wondering if I was from there or not. Came during True Cross Festival I dress in their native clothing. Entertainment was great! Didn't like that it wasn't not travel not the way they make it to be in media, but notice some homeless and beggars who don't have it? Overall I will visit I got married there!!! So I guess now I have relative there and its home now!!! God Bless Ethiopia!!!

At first it was a culture shock but I had my friends and their family who made the transition much easier. I love the food, the culture and the people. the country side are so beautiful, the wild horses, the flat top trees and the sunsets. the difference is that the lights go out at night in the communities except downtown and the water shuts off, so every home and or hotel room has a resevior of water. taking cold showers, hereing the birds chirping at the top of the tree in my window, hereing the the rooster crow and most beautifully hearing prayer call from the masque through out the country side. I loved Ethiopia and all its richness in culture, the castles, and just knowing that this place is apart of our history in biblical times.
